Testimonies
One early morning, I worked in the office as usual. Things were going smoothly until one of my old emails failed to open. At that moment, I did not realize that the Lord intended to use that email to draw my attention and to remind me to trust Him even for little things.
The first time I tried to open the email, an error message popped up on the screen that said something like: “Access is denied. Another user is currently using the file…” Then I clicked ‘OK’ and tried one more time, but the same message appeared again. I rebooted my computer and tried again. Yes, the same message just popped open in front of my eyes. Once, twice, thrice, or no matter how many times I tried, that message seemed to have an intention to irritate me.
“I will find my own way to deal with it,” I said to myself. And a thought came to my mind. "I am going to ask my co-worker who is very good at solving technical issues.” However, he was not available at that moment. I waited, waited, and waited but did not see him in the office. Another thought came to my mind. "I will talk to the IT department; they should be able to help me.”
I called IT, and they assigned my case to another technician who was also not available at that moment. As I was going through the frustration, I heard a gentle voice. “Why don’t you pray to me?”
“Is God involved in such a little thing?” I asked myself. Humbly, I bowed my head and quietly asked the Lord for help as if I needed to surrender myself to Him. After my prayer, I checked the email again. Yes, it popped open this time.
We have to trust God and ask Him for help no matter how little or how big our problem is. What we need to do is to talk with Him.
The Bible verses in Proverbs 3:5-6 teach us that we need to put our trust in Him and that we should not depend on our own human thinking or effort. Ask God for help when we need Him, and He will listen.
