Everyone, including Christians, can determine to a large degree, his or her own level of happiness. It does not always have to be left up to how someone responds to you or what happens in your life. But most of the time, one's happiness has to do with relationships-at home, school and work. By following these principles, you can take charge of your own happiness.

l. Refuse to allow others to make you feel responsible for their
problems.
2. You are not totally responsible for another person's happiness.
3. Do not expect to always meet the expectations of other
people. It is simply not possible.
4. Never try to change anyone but yourself.
5. Just because you may have a problem in some area of your life
does not mean that another person should try to justify theirs.
6. Refuse to allow yourself to weighed down by circumstances
beyond your control.
7. A big part of choosing to be happy is maintaining a healthy
self-image and taking care of your needs. It is setting
boundaries. Your needs and desires are important. You have
dreams and goals that you need to pursue.
8. Do things that make you happy and are fun.
9. God created you as a unique individual. Do not allow
yourself to become a copy of someone else or what another
person thinks you should do or become.
