Let's talk about our government...

Get it straight...and many of us who attend church, sometimes we do talk lots about our government issue and yes, yes it is right for us to concern about the government policies and all that.

WE do need to be careful, ABOVE ALL ELSE - God is in control and He is on the Throne, look down on the earth and He knows what our concerns are.

He is not being careless and not knowing what's going on in the society.

The thing I would like to address here, as brothers and sisters, is that we should trust God by praying for our government, we respect the government body as the Bible instructs us to do, not to cause division - by our different ideas, opinions, support left and right wings, side with one and not the other. We SHOULD NOT DO THIS THING.

We know there's enough division in the church in general, you don't like me, I don't like you, we talk about different denominations, and criticize one and just up lift a particular church, boast about it, make a comment about it, we love to talk about church while WE OURSELVES are the 'Church'. Do you not know that You yourself are the Church??

Do you not know that our tongue can speak evil and good, and if we are not united as one body of Christ, how can we convince outsiders to come and join us? Will we be effective in our gospel preaching? If we ourselves are divided in heart and in words.

God is in control of our government body, what we as believers need to do is:

- pray for our government, whomever rule our country, without criticism but PRAY for them.
- trust God that He knows whom He has chosen for the government rulers, and trust God, He knows what's going on.

These two things are important.

And finally may we learn to zip our lips, only use our lips to pray, to praise our Almighty God, no gossip, no comments about left and right wings, which one is good and which one is bad. Stop our lips from criticizing, use our lips in the right way - to pray, and to praise.

May we learn this, and so that we can be truly united in heart, mind and spirit. Amen.
