In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Remain in him and he’ll remain in you, this is the promise of Jesus!
Remain in the word he has spoken to you, these words are not meant to deceive us.
God in all of his power and might could have come here to enslave us.
But humble and meek he came as a baby; God sent his Son here to save us.
Save us from what you might be asking, as you’re sitting there counting your treasure.
To save us from sin and the death, that will follow, when you’re living here just for your pleasure!
So how can a baby save us from this? Well that baby grew into a man.
Not considering himself to be equal with God, he lived sinless and made his last stand.
He stood on a cross with his arms opened wide, to pay for our sins and receive us.
So one day with him in God we’ll abide, our God has a name; his name’s Jesus!
