Are you working YOUR PLAN or God's Plan for you?

Are you working YOUR plan or God's Plan for you?

The word "PLAN" is not found in the Bible (KJV), but there are 56 words that mean the same thing, and that word is PURPOSE. For example, Solomon used the word PURPOSE when he wanted to say PLAN. -"And, behold, I (Solomon) PURPOSE to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name."1 Kings 5:5

God has a PLAN or PURPOSE for your life, but are you letting Him work His plan for you, or are you working your own Plan and purpose?

I worked my PLAN for most of my life, but my plans took me nowhere. Sure, I actually earned millions of dollars, but the money never brought peace, joy or satisfaction. There are lots of people in this world who have fame and fortune...but it brings nothing but emptiness.

In December of 2007, I asked God to show me what His plan and purpose is for my life, and that I was willing to do whatever it took to learn what His plan is. I acknowledged that my planning got me money and all kinds of "stuff", and I was and am a born again believer, but I never gave God the chance to show me His PLAN. It dawned on me that God is the one who PLANNED the universe. He created it, and the earth and me, so would it not be wise to discover what His PLAN and PURPOSE for my life is?

If you read Romans 8:28, you will discover that God said, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (PLAN)." So, if ALL THINGS work together for GOOD to them that love God...to those who are called according to His PLAN, why would we want to do things on our own?

I am the kind of guy who always did things MY WAY. I made a lot of money, and had a lot of "stuff" doing things my way. I guess I felt that I could handle my own destiny, and if I failed or succeeded...it was all on my merits - or my stupidity.

It must have to dawn on us personally, that we ought to discover what God's PLAN and PURPOSE is for our life, because His plan would be perfect, and would be something that we should strive for....but it would take TRUST in God and a whole lot of PATIENCE and DEDICATION toward seeking Him out in a very personal way. I would have to devote time toward building a relationship with God.

I would have to spend time in His Word to learn more about Him. I would have to listen to my preacher, and preachers like Charles Stanley and others to hear from God. God would have to then demonstrate to me that He is right there with me....walking beside me...taking care of things, and I had to let go of my foolish pride that dictated that I can do anything I set out to do.

I did that in December of 2007, and then God sent me to what I call "God's Boot Camp". That is the basis for my 500 page book, "Invest HERE And HEREAFTER" (This book will be released maybe in 2014 as God completes one thing), but I want to tell you that I would not trade my Boot Camp experience for all the money or fame in the world....that's how precious God's Plan is to me.

God has made known to those of us who seek His plan....the mystery of His will. His will, according to His Son, Jesus, is "that all should come to repentance and be saved." When we finally understand what God's will is, and gear our time, talent and treasure toward that will, He will then reveal what His personal PLAN and PURPOSE is for YOUR life....and ALL THINGS will work together for good to those who love God...and are CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PLAN.

If we turn to Ephesians 1:9, we would read, "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:." Try God's PLAN and PURPOSE for your life if you have reached the point where you believe that His plan is better than yours.
