Bible Studies
I don't want to get into a theological debate about eternal security but there are verses in the Bible we cannot ignore. Paul warns the Galatian church sharply regarding works as a means to sanctification. "Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect in the flesh?(Gal:3:3). What was the results of this doctrine that infilterated the Galatian church? And does this apply to Christendom today? Paul's response to these converts who were going back to the works of the Law would indicate that they were in great danger. For Paul says:"I am afraid of you,lest I labored in vain"(Gal.4:11)."Christ is become of no effect unto you,whosoever of you are justified by the law: ye are fallen from grace"(Gal.5:4). Paul is trying to get them back to Grace and Faith,Grace that saves and Faith that keeps from start to finnish.
