Encouragement
Lift your thought to the heavens and ride the wind. I say to you who have dreams, “dream.” Your dreams are in the wings of the open morning breeze. Wake up early and stay up late. We only have one life and then it’s all gone into the wind. How will you live your life today?
Speaking of living we are expected to pay the bills, get the groceries and take out the trash on Thursday night. Yes, we have obligations, but within these obligations resides the spirit of God. We are in the likeness of all that is good and we have a choice.
We can curse the obstacle or we can say a blessing for the challenge. In the end it’s all a matter of perspective. Relish in the challenge and ride the wind; let out your sails and ride the warm breezes. The vessel that we all ride is ourselves and we are wonderful in the end. Again, dream a big dream—it really is your dream anyway, why not make it the best you can imagine?
Get off the main road and take a side trail. Look for one that has not been taken before, or rarely used. Find out what you will find off the beaten path. Follow your heart, for within rests the voice of God.
You are the leader of the expedition. The future belongs to you. Open seas and fair weather is the beginning of the journey. And this is just the beginning. Do not think its all glamour and glitz. Usually it is bumpy and difficult ride. The good news is the impact you make leaves a great wake; you are forging a new path for those that will follow the greatness with which you choose to travel.
Bring the right gear and tools. Ensure the safety of the vessel and plan well for any contingency. Have faith, my friend, you are not alone on this journey. The grace of God is riding your sails.
Through each storm is a promise of love and joy. Each struggle makes us stronger than we were before and is preparation for the coming future storms. We learn in the lulls how to be ready for the next storm. Ensure to make ready and review the mistakes—not to berate yourself, but, instead, to learn to get better than the last time. For storms are cycles, and they return, sometimes stronger and fiercer than before. If you prepare properly, through review and education, we can ride the storm, secure in our experience and confident of success.
Not every storm is easy, in fact most are difficult and seeming hopeless. Especially when the day is darkest, we fall into despair, guilt, and depression. We feel no hope or end to the swirling mess that surrounds us. What are we to do? We are frightened and feeling alone. We look around, but blinded by the desperation, we do not see the light of our salvation. We have dark glasses encircling our eyes, when the answer is right at our fingertips. We are not alone—never forget.
As we move from one storm to another, become encouraged by the voice of truth in our hearts. Strengthen relationships with loved ones. Read and learn about love.
Again, I say, dream. Follow a new path and become strong in spirit. This is where the free soul becomes stronger—within the dream of love and the content knowledge that the future is not the present or the past. The wake does not steer the ship. We are not destined to repeat the mistakes we have made, as long as we evaluate and have faith. Do something different today. Get up on the left side of the bed instead of the right. A simple change in daily routine may make all the difference in the end.
Mix it up. If you are going to dream, act upon the dream. Find a way to travel to Europe if this is your wish. Get a promotion if you choose, learn what it will take and do it. Simple as that—you have it within you to have whatever you want, all the barriers are self-inflicted. You place your own limits. Impossible is not a word to use in any situation, just an excuse.
I have heard it said that love overcomes all obstacles. Love yourself and all will be available in the end.
Live for this very moment and squeeze all the juice out of your life today. Relish in the simple things of life—breathing fresh air, the laughter of a child, flowers in the garden and the smile of your husband/wife. You are a miracle!
Live life like a miracle and ride the wind!
