Marriage

I imagined walking through a garden of rhyme
where words, like flowers, grow...
And thought, I could make a word-bouquet
that would not only tell my love but show!

I wandered the paths, admiring the blooms,
taking in the scents so sweet....
How could I pick from such beauty and wonder,
the perfect few that would be a treat?

I picked out 'love', it looked like a white bell,
And rang out tiny notes of sheer joy...
Then a royal purple cluster of blooms,
Velvety soft 'peace' was their word to employ...

I had to pick some of the spikey pink blooms,
for laughter and joy all in one...
So different and lovely, just had to pick them,
for without them, the bouquet couldn't be done!

By now the bouquet was filling my arms,
each word and scent adding something fresh and new...
And I could tell it was the perfect one
to bring and give with my heart to you!

Each day is like a new walk in that garden,
to seek out how to tell my love so true...
With flower-words that never fade or wither,
such a lovely way to say how much I LOVE YOU!!
