Each day God gives me a silver thread
to string along my hours...
And I may fill it with what I choose,
sunshine or showers

I pick up the look of love on your face,
a lovely pearl of silvery blue...
Put it on my string of hours
to remind me of how much I LOVE YOU!!

I pick up all the small kind things
you do along the way....
A collection of diamonds on my time-thread,
love in all you do and say...

I pick up all the things you do for me,
so I can rest and not have to do...
Gemstones sparkling on my thread,
colors of love so deep and true...

By the time my day is done,
my time-thread's a necklace shiny new...
And when I wear it, my heart overflows
with the sheer joy of how much I LOVE YOU!!

God did give me the most wonderful gift,
when He brought me to you...
Giving me the desire of my heart
to cherish and be cherished...oh how I LOVE YOU!!
