This hour has passed by so quickly, Lord –
this hour spent with You.
I came with so much to say;
but each time I tried to talk You interrupted,
and listening was all I could do.
Wasn’t what I had to say important enough –
or is it that You already knew?

“Sometimes, My child, your plans are not the same as Mine.
All that I ask during these times is for you to be quiet and still.
Think of the birds who neither toil nor spin.
Even the lilies in all their array - how much greater are you than they.
Remember I love you; I made you for Me.
And come back soon – we’ll talk again.”
