Many tears of joy I've shed
Since our I do's were said.
Thirty-seven years we've shared.
Love for me you've always declared.

“It's a boy” brought tears to my eyes
Five pound eight ounces was his size.
Then to our wonder and delight
Another boy and love at first sight.

Then to make our lives complete
A baby girl angelic and sweet.
Her birth announced on radio waves
And oh my from our friends what raves.

High school and college graduations
Added to our wondrous celebrations.
Our sons' weddings brought much glee
What other joys would be given me.

The most precious tidings we were told
Of a grandbaby arriving to love and hold.
Fischer would be our grandson's name
And on our hearts he put his claim.

A gift certificate for Christmas made me cry
Although I can't possibly think of why.
Little Miss Sunshine arrived on the scene
And of our hearts she's certainly the queen.

It's hard to believe I've been so blest
All my family have added much zest.
Now you know my life's story
I give God all the praise and glory.


The gift certificate was an announcement of another grandchildren which turned out to be our granddaughter.
