If you want to overcome Satan's tool
Listen to me and you won't be his fool.
He whispers words of doubt in your ear.
Fills your heart with so much fear.

Why listen to him, he's the father of lies
All that he wants is your demise.
So follow these special rules
To find happiness and other jewels.

When you're discouraged and feeling blue
Open your eyes to the blessings round you.
Write them down in a gratitude journal
Concentrate on qualities that are supernal.

Comparing yourself to another is a mistake
And trying to be someone else, how fake.
A special plan for you is God's delight.
Don't question His wisdom or foresight.

Serving others makes you feel better.
You could send them a card or letter.
Overcoming discouragement can be done.
Look to God for help and the battle's won.
