Poetry
I recognize a pattern
A point of my retreat
A force that’s so opposing
Who calls himself Defeat.
He goes before the frontline
With his soldiers, Fear and Pride
So there they are, the three of them
Standing side by side.
Then Fear and Pride march forward
And Pride is first to speak
“Attempts to war against us
Will expose that you are weak.”
Then Fear begins advising that
“It’s best for those involved
To act upon initiative
And quietly withdraw.”
Although I’ve never met Defeat
Because I never tried
I feel as though I know him more
Than his soldiers, Fear and Pride.

Wow.How true! Defeat, pride, and fear are our enemies. We get so scared at times and are afraid to even try. With God as our Helper we can make it.
