Grace, grace, God's grace; grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace, grace that is greater than all our sin!
This is the chorus of one of my favorite songs. What is wonderful about grace is that God gives it freely, we can do nothing to earn it, and all we can do is accept it. Grace is the unmerited and undeserved love of God; He looked upon man before Creation and loved us despite the evil and hate that we were capable of.
Before Creation Jesus volunteered to leave His Father, His home, His glory to come to earth and die for us. He knew that not many would accept Him, that the rest would mock Him and eventually crucify Him. Still, His love for the few brought Him to this despicable place; He would have come if only one person in all of creation would have accepted Him and the rest would not. You should know that He would have died for you if you were the only one ever to walk the earth.
An unsaved person does not see their need for a Savior, but once the Holy Spirit reveals their sin and draws them to the Lord, they must make their choice to follow or not to follow Jesus. I have often wondered, why me, why with all my sin and disrespect of Him, did He draw me out? I see myself as probably the worst of the worst because I know what I am capable of, but still the Lord called me. There is nothing I could possibly do to repay the debt I owe, not ever throughout all of eternity.
Another thing we need to realize is that once we have accepted Him as our Savior, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and cannot be lost. God is going to move heaven and earth to protect you and will never let you go; you can't even walk away from Him because you are His forever. Remember Jonah and the prodigal son? They ran away but could not get away, eventually God brought them back.
Remember how God protected Daniel in the lion's den and David when he was running for his life. You might think that these were great people of the Bible and so they were special to God, well yes, they were special; but no more so than you are in God's eyes. God is no respecter of persons according to Acts 10, Romans 2, and Ephesians 6. God will judge the unrighteous fairly and keep His own under His wing. Remember when He sees His children He is looking through His Son. We are undeserving of His love, but by the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are His and we are loved.

What a powerful reminder for all of us. Grace truly IS amazing, and that he would bestow it upon us is unbelievable - but a wonderful fact to cling to.
