Oh, Lord I need answers,
Regarding where to go,
And how to get there safely.

Lord, I am struggling,
I am scratching and clawing,
For a course I can not see.

Where can I find you,
In the mist of this chaos?
I know that I need to search.

Probing scripture deeply,
Praying down upon my knees,
Finding solace in the church.

In the quietest of moments,
All alone with the universe,
I will find You in my Spirit.

I long to see Your face,
I desire to hear Your voice,
Lord, help me see and hear it.

You have made a promise,
If I seek You diligently,
I will find all of Your answers.

So I will search scripture,
I will find shelter in prayer,
I will join the singers and dancers.

Giving great exalted praise,
Blessing loudly Your name,
Altering my avaricious behavior.

Recalling You are Jehovah,
Healer, Redeemer and friend,
Revering You as the Holy Savior.

Seeking answers is always a constant. Always someone is looking for them. I don’t know if a day has past without my needing to have an answer to some confusion that is plaguing me.

Shall I buy a new dress for the party or wear a perfectly good old one? What shall I spend my bonus on, something cautious or something frivolous? Shall I have the surgery or shall I seek a second or third option? Am I being the best parent I can be, or is there more that I need to be doing?

Always I am seeking answers. Somedays the questions are overwhelming and the answers do not come easily or readily from You. Somedays You seem so silent. Are you teaching me something? If so Lord, I do pray that I will not miss the lesson you are teaching. Somedays the answers come and I don’t like them. Father, forgive me for being to obstinate, so self-righteous, so willful, whining and woeful.

Bring me back to Your heart, to Your Word, for in Scripture I will find the answers. Which is one of the very reasons You gave us Your Holy Word, to help us and to guide us. If I can not find the answer in Scripture one of my beloved Sisters or brothers in the body, your church will help me. They are also, one of Your many provisions and blessings.

Help me to stand firmly in the center of Your will, where the Holy Spirit can find me and guide me through all my difficult decisions.

Thank you for Your perfection. All is laid out perfectly according to Your will, I need only cast off my cloak of stubbornness and Your perfect will for my life will clothe me.
