There is a perfect calm,
Ahead of each new storm.
If you look to Jesus before,
The clouds begin to form.

Don’t let the early breezes,
Catch you off your guard.
Go to Jesus before they gust,
And you won’t fall too hard.

Don’t wait around and worry,
Where the winds might blow.
Go to Jesus before they start,
And let His contentment flow.

When the lightning comes,
Before it strikes in the skies.
Go to Jesus before they clap,
And let Him hear your cries.

As the thunder rears up to roar,
Causing you to fret and fear.
Go to Jesus before they rumble,
And you will find Him ever near.

The tempest may be out there,
Raging to take you to the ground.
But, when you look to Jesus first,
You’ll see His power is all around.
