A puff of vapour dissipates,
It vanishes without a trace,
Is borne away as wind dictates
And disappears in empty space.

Man’s great philosophies are such—
Vain wisdom formed by finite dust;
Such empty words which promise much
Will all decay with death’s cold touch.

But God Almighty’s Word is sure—
When all else fails it will endure—
A Word so wholesome, perfect, pure
And everlastingly secure.

The day of wrath can’t be forestalled—
This poem might be your final call!!
Believe in Jesus Christ the Lord—
God’s Word declares Him—Lord of all.
