The night cool
The moon bright
Silvery slivers of light endowed the night
While curlers in my hair I wound tight.
Thoughts of sharing filled my heart.
Suddenly His presence graced the room like a dart.
His cloud like form slipped through the door
His love enveloped me and more.
Classes on Sunday we are taught
Clean heart and ears were needed to hear him.
His words spoken were jumbled.
Praying, "Open my ears," I mumbled.
The words with love I heard so clear
"Be ye a believer unto me."
My doubt now gone.
I am set free.

Hi Katie! Welcome to faithwriters and thanks for the encouraging critique. It sounds like you and your husband have a very wonderful and blessed ministry. I enjoyed this poem. It shows your heart and the beauty of Christ's love. The part "silvery slivers" sounds good and so do the various rhyme patterns. My only thought of criticism; maybe the first two lines of the third verse should rhyme, since the last two do, or maybe the first line should rhyme with the second and/or third, etc. Just a thought.
