Grief

I think that I'm actually about to cry
I've held it in; it's been awhile
The sorrow runs deep, can't sleep
I've talked to Jesus
He said to let the tears flow
That I would know

When to stop

Grief and circumstances are hard
To bear In the flesh, even though
I am a Christian, I am human
Sometimes I struggle to survive
Tend to fight life on my own
Until in my spirit I am reminded

Of the One who stands by my side

Even Jesus wept, and He is telling me
Everything will be o.k
You can go to sleep
You can rest, just you wait
Your sorrow will be lifted
There will be better days

For I am standing watch over you

And when your time on earth is through
I am waiting for you
Your loved ones are too
But I still have a job for you to do
You're not left behind without a cause
You have work to do
