Philippians 1:27 But whatever happens to me, you must live in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ, as citizens of heaven. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing side by side, fighting together for the Good News. (NLT)
Read 1 Corinthians Chapter 13:
As I was walking downtown in front of a prominent building the other day, I noticed that someone was about to take a picture of that building. I went another way so I wouldn’t be included in that picture. I knew that when these people returned home, and developed their prints, there I’d be too. I’m sure that we’ve all ended up in our share of photo albums across the globe. Just as our picture can be taken, without us noticing it, we are no doubt, making impressions on others without realizing it too.
What do we do if we know our picture is about to be taken? We all want to take a good picture so we spruce up and smile! If we thought every word we spoke, or everything we did would be captured on film, I suspect we’d all clean up our act a bit.
Everywhere we go, if we’re not directly in the picture of what’s going on in someone’s life, whether they are a clerk, an executive, or a child, our words and actions, though they might be in the background somehow, may well have some type of effect on them.
We learn how to deal better with negative words or situations as we grow in God, but how about those people that do not know God yet, or are just getting to know Him? Negative words or actions can stay in the back of their minds and when they do surface, it could cause setbacks in their lives. We need to leave positive impressions wherever we go, so that when the effects of our words and actions do surface, they will be beneficial in helping those we encounter in life stand stronger in God.
Everything we say, and everything we do is always in God’s view
