I hated me all because
the one that I was cursing.
Where I was born, where I was,
is part of this person.

Then I read God thought of me
with plans of hope and peace.
It was His passion to make me free,
to grant me my release.

It seems I’m not the accident
that I thought I was.
That one lie left a dent,
harassed like a fly’s buzz.

He loves me with my person
who came from His hand.
I dare not now be one cursing
what was His command.

In my submission, I saw me
fits with all He does.
Talents and gifts let me see.
So I laugh at that fly’s buzz.

He re-directs my force of heart
by the love I see.
Not changing my person, He imparts
the Christ I express with me.

So I sing I love me
as song to His praise.
He is all my mercy’s lee;
He delights I’m raised.

With this gift I will fan
your dying flame of heart.
With that heart love the Man,
the Son the Father imparts.

Brother, sister, hear me now,
we’re no accident.
By this truth, may we bow,
by it be so bent.
