Have you suffered a setback, a disappointment, even a tradegy? Then know you are a candidate like no one else to discover your passion. Remember Candy Lightner, founder of MADD (Mothers against drunk driving) her beautiful daughter was killed by a drunk driver. John Walsh, creator and host of the television show 'America Most Wanted' went through the unthinkable when his young son was kidnapped and later found murdered

If those well-known stories of turning your troubles into triumphs don't inspire you, listen to a little about this man. Dr. Oral Roberts almost died of tuberculosis as a young boy. God brought him the knowledge of salvation and healing through his sickness and near death experience. He also gave him a passion to see others healed.

"God seemed to put an unrest and a dissatisfaction with the norm in the Church (denomination) saying, "Son, don't be like other men. Don't be like any denomination. Be like Jesus and heal the people as he did." By obeying God, Dr. Roberts changed the way our country and the world thought about healing in a ministry that has spanned over 50 years (Expect A Miracle, Roberts).

1954 Brought TV cameras into tent meeting

1962 Broke ground for Oral Roberts University

1971 ORU accreditation as university

When Dr. Roberts began to seek the Lord with a whole heart he found him (Jer. 29:12). God gave him instructions on fulfilling his call on his life, "to take His healing power to his generation and to build Him a University."
