Guess what happened when we did? Rather than strict judgment and maybe even punishment, the whole arena was supernaturally turned to a feast. Contrary to what people think, judgment for the Christian is one of joy and peace, not weeping and gnashing of teeth. Even though some of us didn’t do as we ought to have done, God still saw us as His children knowing that His love for us is unending and undying.
The word says in a great house, there are vessels of gold, silver, bronze, glass, wood and stubble. What’s important is to be a vessel of honor which you automatically become when you live your life the way God wants you to. Some of us finished, some did not exactly finish but God was not mad at anyone. We all just enjoyed the feasting and celebrating. Amidst all this, people were brought before God not for eternal judgment, but for reports and record display.
I was still awed and amazed when someone beckoned to me and motioned me to someone standing right in front of me. I startled a bit in amazement. I was in front of God. The one who beckoned to me began to speak. I heard things about myself I had never heard before. Amongst all that I heard the most repeated point made in the report was “she’s always focused in all that she puts her mind to. She chose the Life and has focused on Him from then until always”. I just stood looking.
Then God said “I know. that’s why I made her a monitor (an overseer, a keeper, one responsible for a group of items or places, but most especially people, a check, a watcher, an observer, a supervisor, a scrutinizer and an examiner).
It was at this point I opened my eyes and how I wished I could have continued … but I was back on earth and was thankful that at least I still had sometime to work even more on my report in heaven.
As I got up that day, the love of God and for God filled my heart like never before. I didn’t feel that I was doing anything great for God at the time I had that dream. Infact, I thought that God was mad at me but now I know that as long as you’re following Jesus and you’re doing your utmost best for Him, He appreciates it and records it for your reward regardless of your results. I also found out that day, that God’s satisfaction in me came from the fact that I chose Him, love Him and serve Him. As far as He’s concerned, that’s all that matters.
Isn’t that such a comfort for those who are serving God in Spirit and in Truth?
So now, I can’t wait to see Jesus face to face. I know that it’ll be a feast with all my brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers in Christ.
That’s how it should be and is, for every Christian, we should have and do have this confident assurance of our salvation with which we are extremely excited about and we should be anyway.
From time to time, we are awakened again and again in increasing dimensions to His love and purpose for us.
I think that is gloriously beautiful. Don’t you?
