I experienced the worst of my experiences
with other kids. I was constantly beat up.
The kids formed circles around me and
took turns. Teachers usually laughed and
egged it on.
I had been diagnosed with just about every
mental problem you can imagine. My parents
were told I needed to be put in an institution.
What no one knew is that God would have
something to say about the quality of my life.
The only friend I had approached me and
said I needed Jesus. If I gave my life to God,
He would change my life. At the time if someone
had offered me cocaine with the same reason,
I would have tried it to see an end to my trouble
with bullies.
A few weeks later it happened. I accepted Christ
as Lord and savior in the library at my church.
I can't say my troubles ended however, one might
say I confused God with a dog. When people would
bother me, I would tell them to leave me alone or God
would get them. On one particular occasion I invoked
the name of Jesus to stop a group of kids from beating
up on me. I don't remember my exact words however,
I remember the kids running away ver fast.
Even though my martial art skills could have helped with it,
In a humorous way the Lord stepped in. From that day forward,
I was called a religious nut and the kids were scared of me.
I carried my bible around at school and the kids thought I might
hit them with it. Looking back it makes me laugh how God used
me to accomplish his purpose. Several years later, I came across
the ring leader of the bullies and found out he got saved just before
high school. We became best friends.
Never underestimate God's ability to work in a situation.
