Is making it’s soon arrival known . . .
God’s been knitting together breath and bone,
Uniquely, silently, quite hidden from view.
Calendars have been marked with the date called “due”
Vitamins taken. . .Baby is as safely grown
As possible. It’s past the date. Thankfully, Mom’s not alone –
She has you, dear midwife, and Baby does, too!
Mom leans on you, for with your servant’s heart,
Cheerfully you’ll bring her through this plight.
Without reserve, you’re ready to do your part
To help that babe, (even if Mom puts up a fight!)
Yes, patiently you’re there right from the start
‘Til Baby’s in her arms this very night!
