“Holy Spirit, will you please do one more sweep and see if there is anything that would sully me?” he begged. Peace and terror flooded him simultaneously. It was too late for that - God was in the house.
The day was August 6th, 1975, and it was a month that would change his life yet again.

Bob knelt aghast as God’s nearness waned. He had been shown secrets of the future – millions of abortions, the advent of the morning-after pill, the rise of homosexuality and AIDS. As tears wound their way down his face, his shaking hand dialed the numbers to call his first friend in Christ.
“Jim, I have to warn you of what’s coming…!”

He woke the next morning slowly, his body rolling from side to side trying to get comfortable, when he recognized the smell of evil, and then, seconds later, heard it hiss in his ear.
“Stop talking about abortion and homosexuality, or I promise I will kill you. If you stop, I will spare your life and leave you alone, but you are stepping into my domain, and I will not allow it.” The entity dissipated in silence, leaving Bob to laugh - I’m not his property anymore - and call yet another friend: to let him know about the Lord’s revelations of the previous day.
He left his unpleasant rendezvous soon after, heading for work, but within five minutes his hips and legs began to hurt….
Doctor Black’s eyebrows almost met in the middle after examining Bob’s body and getting a long list of his symptoms and signs. “Bob, we need to get you into hospital straightaway. I don’t know what this is that you’ve got, but it’s serious.” Bob’s face showed the doctor what he thought of that idea, and his machismo won him a few hours reprieve from needles and white uniforms; but on his way home to get some things together, blood began to pump out of Bob’s nose and mouth with every heartbeat. Choking and very scared, he lay down in darkness with a large towel by his face.
Evil entered his room once again, this time to take the breath of life away, permanently.
Bob felt his spirit break free of his body and fly up through the roof of his house, and he flew on up until he found himself walking down a dark tunnel. There was a light at the end, which he instinctively knew was the light of the Lord. A crowd approximately one hundred strong waited near His incandescence, but as soon as each one reached the Lord, He spoke with them for a moment and then, with a look of utter sorrow, banished them to outer darkness. Two remained; to Bob's delight they were welcomed through heaven’s gates with a loud sound of praises to God, but when Bob stepped forward to talk with his Lord, he was met with an upturned palm.
God's wrath was obvious. “The devil had no right to take your life. I did not ordain it, and because of his disobedience, I am going to make your gifts and calling twice as effective as before. You are going to teach others how to see and hear me in ways they have never experienced before. You will be a catalyst for future generations, and will ultimately affect leadership in the last days for good.” God’s finger pointed directly at where Bob’s heart should have been. “Go back. Carry out my purpose with your life.”
Two huge beings of light appeared beside him and held onto his shoulders. His body started to lean backward and then they flew him back into his bedroom.
They stayed with him for a long time, speaking to him about his future and the future of the church, and once their message had been given, they withdrew, leaving Bob back in his agonizing body.
Two thoughts fluttered through his gray matter in his shocked state.
Carry out your purpose with my life?
There was no hesitation, no reluctance.
Yes, Lord!
And it has been that way ever since.
