upon dew-drenched grass, a verdant green
under gray-awakening twilight , I tread
as dawn gives birth to Your glory
in the splendor of Your sun-soaked land
shall i not enter unto Thy rest?
in sweet communion, shall i not be blessed?
as breezes blend amongst bountiful, bouncing leaves
and whisk aromas of lavender and jasmine into the sullen air
now made alive with dancing trees
and swirling floral perfumes
shall i not enter unto Thy rest?
in sweet communion, shall i not be blessed?
along this jaunting journey, this pilgrimage I walk
You are with me always
in chaos and catastrophe, in destruction and despair
i trust, and sense Your presence there
shall i not enter unto Thy rest?
in sweet communion, shall i not be blessed?
beneath the gaze of an alabaster moon
and the glimmer of stars-called-by-name
nightingales serenely sing
as my heart sways in lyrical jubilation
shall i not enter unto Thy rest?
in sweet communion, shall i not be blessed?
in the ebbing earthly light, in the watches of the night
with peace I lie down and sweetly sleep
for You alone are watching o’er me
and it is You who hold my destiny
shall i not enter unto Thy rest?
in sweet communion, shall i not be blessed?
alleluia! i have found Your Sabbath rest!
“There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.” Hebrews 4:9

I liked the repetitious phrasing in your poems. Beautiful descriptions.
