I googled Love and it brought up a variety of things. The one that stood out was "Wikipedia" and it's many definitions of love. Upon viewing the litany of examples on this prolific subject, my original thought of love remained intact. GOD.

When I think of love it's an automatic response that propels my inner senses to react. A cacophony of synapses within my brain brings forth an overwhelming shout of GOD!

Love is many things to many people, and so the list is infinite in and of itself. But for starters, personally, it's a feeling of peace and security. When thinking about love and peace, naturally, The Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ comes to mind. And, security comes from our Rock, Jesus Christ again.

Love is the ability to feel confident knowing we're accepted for ourselves. That doesn't need further clarification. Our Lord of lords accepts us as we are. So, therein again, love is God. When we know love, we know God, because God created us, and God is love.

Perhaps the most familiar passage in the Bible, and arguably the most quoted is John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

How's that for love? Could there be a more amazing love?

“His hands of grace touch my face and sculpt my heart; I was His from the very start.”

Lord, thy name is love...

You were able to get across the wonderful message of God's love in a short article. I am sure one could write a 100 times more, but could not deliver a better message than you have with your article. You are an incredible writer with so much God given talent.

So true! Although I agree completely with you, the contrast between other definitions and God's love would be more pronounced if you gave more examples. Keep writing!
