The hero, Maccabee, was protecting a family of Hebrew settlers from a torrent of automatic fire from Palestinian forces. Their bullets bounced off his invulnerable body while he laughed.
Lion Lord, the leader of the American Muslims, stared in amazement as the tunic clad Israeli easily held off ten armed attackers. Their blood boiled when the Israeli hero proclamed, “When I’m done with you I’m going to your Dome of the Rock to protect my fellow Israelis who want to worship near Solomon’s Temple.”
Moonhunter whispered to his leader, “Muhammed, are we going to allow those infidels to be near the Dome?”
Lion Lord looked at the bat garbed man and shook his head emphatically.
Maccabee finished wrapping the Palestinians’ wrists with their gun barrels, then raced at superspeed in the direction of the Temple Mount. Using the rocket belts Monique Masters had recently given them, Allah's Fist charged off after him.
They arrived mere moments before the Israeli hero. When Maccabee skidded to a stop outside the courtyard, Lion Lord roared, “Stop right there, Jew!”
“Well, well, American superpowered Muslims. I’ve read about you. All I’m doing is responding to a reported terrorist attack planned on my fellow Jewish citizens and travelers. Surely, you don’t want innocent blood spilled by your holy site?” he added sarcastically.
Pointing to the Star of David on Maccabee’s chest, Lion Lord responded, “Your heathen Jewish garb is not allowed in the courtyard.”
Maccabee shot back, “I wasn’t planning on going in unless my fellow Jews were attacked from within. Convince your friends to toss out their guns and we will have no problems.”
Lion Lord called out in Arabic, “Lay down your weapons, brothers, or else this infidel will desecrate the mosque.”
Maccabee smiled and said, “Thank you for preventing bloodshed. Now, in accordance with various international warrants, I’m going to have to hold you for the authorities.”
The Owl screeched, “You can try, if you are suicidal.”
Maccabee grinned broadly as he supersped through the group, relieving them of their rocket belts. “Now let’s see you all escape.”
Moonhunter and Owl took to the sky, while Lion Lord charged Maccabee. Maccabee chuckled as he easily backhanded Muhammed to the ground. Ali-Gator and She-Snake tried to restrain the Jewish hero, but he slammed their skulls together, rendering them unconscious. Maccabee called out to the hovering Muslim men, “Are you going to hang there or are you going to help your friends?”
Moonhunter stared at his teammates, as did the Owl. This one man, in less than two minutes, had done what the entire Light Force had struggled to do, defeat the entire Allah’s Fist team. Owl called down, “Promise you won’t hurt the others and we can discuss it.”
Maccabee shouted up to the bird-like Muslim, “Why hurt them when they are defeated? Surrender, and I’ll tell Interpol that you surrended peacefully.”
“We will surrender to proper Muslim authorities, not to some infidel Jew,” Owl responed disdainfully.
“Then, I guess we will fight,” called Maccabee.
Matching actions to words, he raced in circles beneath the two Muslims, creating a downdraft that pulled them to the ground where a couple of well aimed punches defeated the final Allah’s Fist members.
Binding the five with their belts, Maccabee placed Allah’s Fist in the charge of the Jerusalem police.
Predictably, the press were close behind the police. One reporter called out, “Are you affiliated with the American heroes, the Light Force?”
Maccabee answered, “I have no problem working with them should they ever come to Israel, but they would have to understand that they would not be in charge.”
