As these thoughts crossed my mind, I suddenly kicked a stone and fell down. I couldn’t believe it but I had to if I wanted to carry on. I picked myself up and continued. I knew that my eyes should be on my destination, not my set back and that was how I was able to run.
I climbed and passed through mountains, valleys, forests, fields and bridges quite successfully, prepared for whatever would come my way in this journey of mine. Movement prevailed, now at an accelerated speed; looking at me from a distance, you would think I was faster than lightning. However, without notice my legs stopped abruptly. I didn’t know how to continue looking at what I faced.
My eyes viewed a mass I never envisaged. I looked at the ocean and the roaring waves before me and thought about how I was going to get to the other side of it which I couldn’t even see. Yes I was prepared for anything, but was I prepared for this?
The thought of my obstacle made me weak and I almost sat down in frustration when I heard, “don’t sit! You’re getting through this as well”. I knew it was the voice of God‘s Spirit and so I stood at attention as soon as I heard His voice. I heard more of His words.
“Did you start this journey on your own?”
“No sir, I didn’t”.
“And are you in charge of this journey”?
“No sir, I’m not”.
“Did you discover your destination by yourself or did I show you?”
“You showed me sir”.
“The energy you’ve used so far, who gave it to you?”
“You sir.”
“Have you been alone all through the journey?”
“No sir, I haven’t?”
“Move on child.”
I stood, not moving an inch. I heard the voice of the Spirit again
“Move child!”
“But how? I’ve never crossed such a huge ocean before. It seems endless to me.”
“Start by walking. Move!”
I treaded slowly into the sea with care, and when I got to knee point, I floated up and began to walk. Awesome! I was walking on water, just like Jesus did.
“Are you satisfied with this?” I heard the spirit say.
“I think it’s the best thing I ever experienced in my life,” I screamed in excitement.
“I’m not satisfied with you walking on water.”
I stopped with a surprised look on my face.
“Why?” I asked the spirit of God.
“Jesus said,” verily verily, I say unto you, “he that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do. Because I go unto my father.”
“I don’t get it sir, what I’m I supposed to do now?”
“Run child! Run!”
“On water?”
“Yes!”
I heard the word; all I had to do was obey. Afterall, He was in full control. I began to run, at first slowly but when I got accustomed to the whole atmosphere, I ran much faster.
In due time, this obstacle that seemed to have no end, ended before my eyes. I ran through it with the speed of the Spirit and when I got through to the other side, I looked back at the sea for a while. It was unimaginable! I just passed through an ocean.
“Hey child! Look ahead, not behind,” I heard the Spirit say.
“I looked in front of me and saw my destination; I finally reached where I wanted to be. I heaved a great sigh of relief. I made it!
“Thank you lord,” I said.
“Never forget that you are just like me”,the Spirit said.
He couldn’t be more right. I am just like God. I’m more than a conqueror, I’m never a victim, and I overcome any challenge. I’m unbeatable, unshakable, untouchable and my name? … My name is success!!!

Would you consider ending the story on the second last paragraph, as it contains the climax and end of the story, which says...the Spirit said.
I enjoyed reading the piece.
