The Rabbi looked at the Pharisees gathered in a huddle around them. He didn’t even need to ask what these men were doing, as if their motives weren’t crystal clear to Him, because the largest of them spoke up.
“Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. What do you say?”
Jesus clenched His jaw, frowning. The woman was being used as a pawn to entrap Him. So He bent down and wrote in the dirt. They continued to harass Him with further questions, attempting to slander her and Him with false statements that the law of Moses was being ignored.
Finally, He’d had enough of their queries, and stood to face them and projected loudly enough to be heard by everyone in the temple, “Let anyone who is without sin cast the first stone at her.” Then He stooped and wrote some more in the dust.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No, Rabbi.” She sighed in relief.
“Then I don’t condemn you either. Go now and leave your life of sin.” ********************************************************************* Author’s note: This piece is based on John 8:2-11 NIV translation

Good job.
