Topic: IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL (don't write about the song) (04/02/15)
It seemed so real, the shipwreck not far from shore. I helped two people to reach shore safely, but knew I was drowning. I was suddenly aware of being enveloped in the most loving presence I had ever known. I could hear myself shouting over and over, Jesus you’re amazing, Jesus you’re wonderful, Jesus you’re incredible. I glanced back to the people on the shore, those rescued and others who had gathered, and tried to shout to them - don’t worry about me, Jesus is wonderful, He is incredible, I am all right; but I knew they could not hear me. They were walking to and fro on the shore and not looking out to where the ship had been.

When I woke my dream was still vivid in my mind and I was left with two thoughts. Heaven is nothing about the place; it is all about the person – Jesus. Secondly, the urgent need to tell people about Jesus while they can still hear us; they can’t hear you when you are dead.

I knew I was secure in Jesus love and forgiveness, but what about everyone else? What a terrible thing for those who die without knowing God.

The dream stayed with me for months, and I still think often of the challenge. What am I doing about telling others God’s good news; they won’t be able to hear me when I’m dead.

Great title. I like your quote, "Heaven is not about the place; it is about the person, Jesus." How true! And you're right...I can't tell them about it once I'm gone. Thanks for sharing.
