In the beginning God created the world,
And He then made Adam and Eve.
Worked to provide for them a garden,
So beautiful they could receive.
He taught them how to take care of it
To tend His creations and share.
Asked only that they obey His Word.
Not to eat of one tree standing there.
But the evil one entered the garden,
Tempted Eve that she should partake,
Then she in turn tempted Adam,
Though they knew what was at stake.
In shame they hid from their Father
When cruel sin entered their world.
The Garden of Eden was lost to them,
As disobedience was unfurled.
God gave to Moses His Holy Laws
To teach His people to walk His way.
But many refused to follow them
For temptation would make them stray.
Many continued to live their lives,
In evil ways full of sin and strife.
Too blinded to obey The laws He gave,
To see He had given them life.
God saw that the world was lost,
With many in bondage to sin.
As they faced a constant battle,
In which they could not win.
He sent His Son Jesus to save them,
And to deliver us up from it all,
Set us free to live a life of truth,
If we would just follow His call.
Jesus Christ has paid the penalty,
For laws we could not uphold.
He offers to us an awesome gift.
Though He was betrayed and sold.
He asks us to come in repentance,
To choose to follow His Way.
The truth is found in God’s Holy Word,
To simply Trust and Obey.
