Okay, but I don’t want to see you roll your eyes or hear you laugh or anything like that. Got me? Okay. Because I’ve told this story one too many times and got just that reaction – and I’m tired of it. I’m not a liar.
Good. So It was like a year ago now… and I was up on the cliffs –
Yah. So, anyways – I was up on the cliffs… I’ll take you there later if you like, and I was all by myself.
I like looking at the stars… relaxes me – home life’s not the best, you know? So I go up there sometimes at night to get away from the yelling and stuff.
About 2, I guess. And it was real cold. But I stayed up there anyways cause it was better than the alternative – I’ve slept up there before. Seriously. So I was up there looking at the stars when first one fell, then the other – and I kid you not – they collided.
Yes – they hit each other. And it was like fireworks – multi-hued fireworks.
That’s right. All different colors. And Evan Morrison will vouch that because he was up and saw it too.
Right. But he didn’t see the stars collide; he just saw the after effects. So after they collided they smashed into – so many pieces, looking like fireworks, and then all those pieces started falling to the ground. And I know they said it’s impossible because it would take longer than a couple of hours for those pieces to fall to earth, but fall they did – and they fell and they fell until they fell around me. I know it’s unbelievable, but it happened. Sometimes unbelievable things happen, you know?
Right… so what happened next was this. At first I was just so – awed – by the beauty of all these tiny, colorful flakes falling around me, on me, that I didn’t look closely at them. But then I did, and I noticed that each piece was flickering.
Yes, flickering. Like a TV screen.
Like a TV screen. Because they… I swear if you laugh I’m just going to get up and walk away. Seriously.
Okay – they were flickering like TV screens because they, like, where TV screens. Okay – not real TV screens but they were acting like TV screens. When I squinted my eyes I could see things in them… see people. See their lives.
And? Well, and – I saw mine; all those little bits of color inside a colorful flake converging to show me my colorful life.
That’s right, I didn’t just see mine – I saw other people’s as well. And it wasn’t just the past or present I saw – I watched their futures play out too. Look, I’m not nuts. And I’m a Christian – so it’s not like I ever read my horoscope or something and bought into all that stuff. But what happened, happened.
I know it’s hard to believe – but like I say to everyone else, how else would I know what I know?
Yes, that’s also right. Yes, what I saw was very specific.
Yes – I saw people’s decisions about God. Normally the pictures started out when they were kids, but sometimes they weren’t… and most of the time, in the last picture, they were middle aged or older – and they were about to die. And that’s how this whole fiasco got started.
Yah, cause I saw this kid at school die – and he was in his car with Jess, his girlfriend now, and they were all dressed up, and drinking… and I told him and… and word got around school and everyone started being real nasty and then it happened, and I was right. Overnight I became – not famous but… desired. Everyone wanted to know if I’d seen their future.
I didn’t mind telling them so much at first, but then I realized that they weren’t getting the point.
The point was… is – not how or when they are going to die, but what they are going to decide about God, about Jesus. People started rearranging their lives to try to miss their dates with death – I mean, some people I talked to did some really crazy things… they didn’t, don’t, understand that it’s not death that was the point of the colorful flakes. It’s not death that’s the point of their colorful lives. It’s God. God’s the point – and what they decide to do with Him.
