Vacationing to D.C.,
When on by CB
I heard E-M-T’s
Who paged a famous M.D.
I traveled to the V-A
To make sure Dad was O.K.;
Then stopped at AA
To see the DA
(Who spies on my CPA.)
‘Twas now eleven A.M.,
Good timing for CNN;
I tuned to F.M.,
Then, E-S-P-N,
The sport wounds aired by RN’s.
The program was not PG,
I turned it A.S.A.P.
To hear my CD
I taped off TV,
Downloaded to my PC.
I stopped at the DMV
To get my picture I.D.
(Now on the Q-T,
I won’t R.I.P.
‘Til that photo’s TNT’d!)
Next door I saw MGM,
(It now was seven P.M.)
I couldn’t stop there
To see my friend, Claire,
(She starred as an LPN.)
It’s time for TWA,
My flight scanned for DNA;
The search was in vain
For no one was slain;
No guns from the NRA.
Beside me a C-E-O
Was watching H-B-O;
His eyes on the screen,
A movie obscene
About blinking U-F-O’s.
“The pilot’s from NBC;
I heard he’s from the U.P.”
“Don’t make such a fuss;
In him we can trust—
He heads up the G.O.P.”
My seatmate was from PA,
And friend of the C.I.A.
He didn’t talk shop
Or act like a cop;
But sanctioned the F-D-A.
We landed with T-L-C
In 2009 A.D.
Although I’m naïve,
I couldn’t believe
How much I needed some ZZZ’s.
I’ll end this with a P.S.
If not with perfect finesse;
You’ll have to agree
To the Nth degree
You have to love the U.S.!
