Oh Church of God, strike up your Gifts in full and vibrant Song!
Raise high an Orchestra of Light to thrust the Battle on!
A cry of need ascends the skies from every global shore.
Awake the Gifts our God assigns, and hear His Voice implore,

“My world is reeling in the throes of Evil’s dark embrace.
This day My Church must stand equipped in Purity and Grace!
Take up the skills I’ve planted in the Life Blood of your souls!
Put into use the Gifts you hold to make a sick world Whole!”

We dare not sit in idle waste with instruments grown mute.
Lift now the Trumpet of God’s Word, advance His Holy Truth!
Breathe into Heaven’s Hallowed Horns the willingness to risk
a life of ease and comfort soft to march where suffering is.

Take up the Drum of rugged Strength that cowers not in fear
but accents each advancing beat with Perseverance clear.
Heed not the lulling tempo of an enemy in stealth.
The Souls of those in need cry out for help from Heaven’s Wealth!

God’s Spirit is our Leader Who knows best the Way and Need.
Follow only His command. No other temptings heed.
Lift high in Holy Chorus Love’s great Songs of Heaven’s Help
for in our hands we hold the Chords; Deliverance, Hope, and Health!

This is a Wow! poem. Timely, poignant, inspiring, and a tad convicting. It reminds me of the song, 'If We Are the Body... why aren't His hands reaching?' Great rhythm, easy flow and wonderful words. A joy!

Lovely flow and message. I felt the same sort of surge as when singing "Onward Christian Soldiers!"
