They call him marvelous Minister Mark
He so bad he preaches it sweaty ‘n’ hot
He’s not gonna stop, he’s not gonna stop
Jumpin’ in his seven hundred dollar suit
He tells us what we should do
He yells what we could do
He’s not gonna stop, he’s not gonna stop
Runnin’ from one side of the church to the other
Screamin’ agains’ sin agains’ our brother
He’s not gonna stop, he’s not gonna stop
Music starts an’ then he starts to sing
Minister Mark act like he got ev’rything

He’s lookin’ for money, holdin’ on to fame
Minister Mark he ask for my offerin’ again
He’s beggin’ me to give to The Lord
When I look at him all I see is the world
New cars an’ a huge mansion up on the hill
Ev’ry day he got sizzlin’ steaks out on the grill
He preaches agains’ sin
But it’s all about him

Don’t get me wrong
This song is about love
The message he preaches is beneficial
We need to give and be sacrificial
But Marvelous Mark is superficial
He’s all talk an’ a whole buncha sizzle
He’s not gonna stop, he’s not gonna stop
He’s like his steak burnin’ on his grill
Preachin’ it hot Do as I say not as I do
He’s not gonna stop, he’s not gonna stop
Music starts an’ then he starts to sing
Minister Mark act like he got ev’rything

He’s lookin’ for money, holdin’ on to fame
Minister Mark he ask for my offerin’ again
He’s beggin’ me to give to The Lord

Then one Sunday
An elder stood up an’ begged
Minister Mark, you need to stop
You need to stop
All Mister Mark could say was, “What?”
You preach against sin an’ beg us for cash
When there is grievous sin right here in the camp
Repent right now brother before it’s too late
And you stand before Jesus in judgment
An’ before our elder could finish his message from God
Marvelous Mark gave an evil wink an’ a hateful nod
Our elder was whisked away by Security
I wondered by what authority

He’s lookin’ for money, holdin’ on to fame
Minister Mark he ask for my offerin’ again
He’s beggin’ me to give to The Lord
When I look at him all I see is the world
New cars an’ a huge mansion up on the hill
Ev’ry day he got sizzlin’ steaks out on the grill

When I walked outta church that day
I gathered a buncha friends my way
I told them what’s been buggin’ me ‘bout Mark:

He preaches agains’ sin
But in the end, friends
But it’s all about him
It’s all about him, yeah

Very soon after we left Mista Mark
Now we all go to the elder’s house

yeah.
