Solomon in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 uses personal pronouns 32 times to describe how he sought after satisfaction and happiness – me, my, myself and I. The book appears to be just a lament on the meaningless of life; but in the end, the wisest man in his time concluded that life without God is empty.
We, as Americans, are on the fast track to destruction because we are inadvertently removing God from our nation. We like to believe we are a “Christian” nation because our laws and the foundation of our living were based upon Christian principles. But, we have over time removed God from our schools, our entertainment and our government. We are raising a generation of children and young people who don’t know God, who only know that they have rights and if it feels good, then do it. No moral standards, just give me what I want.
America is no longer a country where the people seek to serve for the greater good, but seek to be served in order to be selfishly fulfilled. After all, we owe it to them, don’t we?
We as a nation are in danger of losing our greatest asset: Freedom of Religion. Preachers no longer preach against sin, but about how God wants to bless them and give them whatever they ask for. Let’s tell that to those who are persecuted in other countries where there is no freedom of religion, there is no medical help, there is no food, or money. Whatever happened to becoming a living sacrifice, picking up our cross, denying ourselves, and serving others?
The prophets in the Old Testament warned God’s people over and over again to turn away from other gods or face the consequences; and yet, we feel safe in the good old USA because we are a “Christian” nation, and God would never harm us, now would He? That was for those people, those people who turned against God, who refused to honor and obey His commands. Those people, the ones who murdered innocent children, and ignored the widows and fatherless. That isn’t us; we’re a “Christian” nation. We are protected by God Himself because we’re Christians.
What if we lost our freedom of religion, like in China? Could we trust God for daily provisions then? Could we stand up and become a living sacrifice even in the face of death? Could we pick up our cross and deny ourselves?
As time progresses in this land of freedom that we love so much, I begin to see the tale tell signs of losing my freedom to worship God as I please; and I ask myself if it is too late for change?
It’s never too late. II Chronicles 7:14 tells us to repent, humble ourselves, to pray, to seek His face, then He will heal our land. This isn’t a directive to non-believers, but to believers. It has to start with us, with me. I must repent from replacing the Almighty personal pronoun on the throne and place the Almighty God back to His rightful place.
Because you see, without God America is just like a man without a backbone. Christianity is the oil in a car for America. Once it fades, much like the oil, it fades away and we find ourselves with a plethora of problems.
I don’t believe that it would make America topple as a nation, at least not immediately, but eventually a chaotic daily life will see the common chain reaction that could potentially destroy America. This chain is filled with unlawfulness and change in morals which would probably not topple America, but certainly change it.
The title “United States of America” would remain, however, the morals would change and the complicated society we each add to would slowly slow down and/or become mildly put, disorganized.
Christianity is of the utmost importance to our way of life, it is a way of keeping people calm, and is one of the greatest benefactors as to why we (the people of America) continue a rather safe and organized life.

I felt that it rambled a bit, and there were a few mixed metaphors. Maybe more focus would help?
I don't think it's too late!
I think the last four paragraphs could be omitted because your point was strongly made prior to these.
Thanks for saying what needs to be said.
