I guess this means I’m on my own. But I have never shopped here before. It’s really my first time, and I didn’t make a list. I know that I like poetry, so that I’m sure to buy. And judging from the size of my cart, I guess I can load it pretty full.
It took me a while to get here, but this is such a foreign place to me. I wouldn’t even know who to ask for help, since there are no clerks in sight. This is a place that offers books, books of every genre. What is so easy about this place is that I don’t go up and down the aisles. Instead I just click on a word – it sends me all around.
I can’t believe all the people who have been here before me; this place has a tally. It’s a wonder that there are any books left to buy, but maybe more folks browse than purchase. For me this is a buying day, and I brought a lot of money. Today is my birthday you see, and I am in this place I really want to be.
My library book shelf at home could use some new additions. They say when you begin to teach that you should have plenty of materials on hand to keep your students busy. I don’t have all the answers, but many great writers have gone before and could help me on my way.
C. S. Lewis is a favorite author of mine, and his testimony is outstanding. I hope to someday have my name in testimony etched across the writer’s wall. I hope it is there for all of the Christian works I have written and am known for later on. I write in other genres and enjoy the freedom of the printed word. Someday I hope to compile my answers to prayer stories in one volume.
The store I have come to today, I thought I’d never enter. You see the computer and the internet have been foreign things to me. At my age, I didn’t think I’d ever need to come here. But since My editor for my first story sale requested my work on Word, here I am. Now I wonder what took me so long to get here. What a wonderful place to do research for my stories, and today I’ll buy some books. I love this shopping place!
