Suddenly, I felt something crawl across my right arm. I quickly opened my eyes and looked down at my arm. At first glance, I thought it was a lady bug. But looking again, I noticed it was a small spider with a red body that just crawled off my arm.
“Yikes,” I said, and recoiled about two feet. A shiver ran down my spine. I’m not sure what type of spider that was, hoping it wasn’t a black widow.
I’m not terrified of spiders, and most bugs, but I do try to respect their outdoor territory just as long as they respect my indoor space.
God did make spiders for a reason, didn’t he? If a bug does happen to find its way into my house, it’s history.
Not wanting to be near the spider, I quickly went into the house and shut the door. But I was curious about it. I timidly opened the door and noticed that the spider was still perched on the ridge of the chaise, at the end closest to the door. It seemed to be watching me.
I shut the door again. This creature was bugging me.
“Nope,” I said to myself, “I’m not going out there. It may jump on me.”
A couple of minutes later, I peeked out again wondering where the arachnid was. I spied it crawling across the seat of the chair towards the ground.
I decided when I get near the chair again, I’ll be cautious and make sure there are no creepy crawlers taking up residence on my lawn seat. I will give it a thorough sweeping before I sit down.

I am sure "Caution" is connected to "Valor" in some way.
I think it needed a stronger finish. It flowed well and hit the topic on the nose.
It was well written except for that point.
Good story. Bod bless.
After I read the title, I kept thinking: "Along came a spider and sat right beside her...."
I only like the arachnids I can identify, also.
