My focus is our Lord and King
His goodness and His love
I'm gathering my thoughts
With glimpses of a story
By faith in every word I write
I'm giving God the glory
Holy Bible, Book Divine
Reveal yourself to me
Fill my heart, refresh my mind
Flood my memory
Gatherings of water
God called them the seas
Creator of the universe
With glorious majesty
Five barley loaves, two fishes
More than fed the multitude
Gathered extra baskets
Soon as the feast was through
A large crowd had gathered
They came from all around
While Jesus spoke a parable
Sow your seed on good ground
Gather my children unto me
All who yielded to the blood
Separate the good and bad
As with Noah and the flood
Gather around the altar
It's time to kneel and pray
Guide us lest we falter
Somewhere along the way
Where two or three are gathered
In the power of Jesus name
His Spirit will be with us
His perfect peace proclaim
Forsake not the assembling
Of His people everywhere
Jesus is our shining light
When in deep and dark despair
And as we come together
God's praises we will sing
Among the congregations
Joyous anthems ring
We'll never fly with broken wings
But with the Saviour’s love
Rest assured a gathering
In heaven up above

Nicely done.
I liked your examples of the different gathering places in the Bible; however, if you take out the first stanza it would be even better. Don't explain to your reader about the challenge; let your poem do the talking.
