“Haloo,” A voice called from near the flying craft.
Jeremiah stopped and considered the call. What did haloo mean? Still, it meant something and so Jeremiah responded in kind.
“Haloo,” Jeremiah called back.
“Help me,” The voice was fainter this time.
Despite his concerns, Jeremiah moved toward the sound of the voice. His eyes grew large as he recognized the kind of craft. It was exactly the kind that Zeke had been piloting. Could the voice be Zeke? Jeremiah rushed to where a form lay prone on the ground. Jeremiah was both disappointed that it wasn’t his brother amd amazed at the strangeness of the creature before him. It was like nothing he had ever seen.
“Help me get back in the craft.”
Jeremiah walked over to the craft and put his hand on the skin. Immediately it opened and the creature rushed within. Jeremiah followed.
“Thank you,” The creature said as life returned to its form.
“Who are you?” Jeremiah asked.
“Zeke sent me.”
“You know my brother.”
“Yes.”
“Where is he?”
“On my world.”
“Where is your world?”
“Very far from here.”
“How did my brother get there?”
“That is a story for him to tell you. He sent me to find you, but when I exited the craft I found it hard to breathe in your atmosphere. Your brother has a similar problem and that is why I am here.”
“Is he dying?”
“No. He is actually growing stronger. He is acclimating, but such a thing takes time.”
“What can I do?”
“He gave me a message for you. He said to tell you that now is the time that you were told about when you were children.”
“For such a time as this, “ Jeremiah mused.
“What’s that?”
“Oh, it’s something from our bible.”
“Your revelation from the creator?”
“Yes.”
“You must tell me of this. Our world is in dire need of such a revelation. Your brother believes it is why he was carried to our world.”
“Carried? By whom?”
“That is a good question. We must go.”
“Let’s go then. What is your name?”
“Chiro.”
“Take us up, Chiro.”
“Will do.”
The craft lifted into the air. Jeremiah had never been in such an amazing piece of technology.
“How do we get to your world?”
“Just watch.”
Chiro piloted the craft to its limit before reaching down and hitting a button far below the console. There was a brilliant light and then everything changed. Jeremiah knew that Zeke was right. The time was now and he was ready.
