“Mike, it’s good to see you. Grab a seat, and tell me what is so important that you had to ferret me out for advice.”
“Jess, as you know I am doing research on the disciples and the prophets of the past compared to the so called disciples and prophets of today for my next book. My question is kind of a strange one, and I hope you don’t think I’ve lost my mind.”
“Ha, Ha! That is the last thing I would think about you, my friend. You are not the type to make light of the Bible. That is your life’s blood just as much as it‘s mine. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and we preach from His book. We are not about to do otherwise. That is one thing about us, we are like two peas in the same pod. Now, what’s the question?”
“Okay Jess, the question is pertaining to whether the disciples and prophets of old had more fire for spreading the Gospel of God say, compared to the ones of today?”
“Whoa Mike! When you ask a question, you do ask a question. Well, in my opinion, I would say the prophets who God literally spoke with, and the Disciples of Christ had more fire then they do today. It’s as if some pastors are so jaded with this world that they preach what their congregations want to hear, and not what the Bible says; also some pastors are truly afraid to preach the Bible, because it seems as if our religious freedoms are slowly being taken away.”
“Jess, I knew I came to the right man. Yes! Yes! I agree with you 100%. Only a few pastors have the backbone to stand up in front of a congregation, and tell it like it is. It’s as if they’re afraid to ruffle feathers. It will cause such chaos. It’s as if we are no longer a Christian nation, but a multicultural nation with different religions. You can’t preach like they did in the time of Christ, because that is not politically correct. We are to live in harmony with everybody, instead of what the founding Fathers of this great nation put into effect when they wrote the Constitution of the United State. They also said that this nation was founded on Godly principals such as one nation under God with liberty and justice for all. I know that indivisible was added a little later, but aren’t we still considered a Christian Nation?”
“Mike, only you would have the brass to put that down on paper. If you do write that book, and voice your true opinion you will have lots of opposition to what you have written. The anti establishment will want to tar and feather you, because you are rocking the boat my dear friend.”
“Jess, frankly I don’t give a darned if I ruffle a few feathers, and turn the anti establishment on their ears. It’s about time we the people picked up our Bibles, and let those goody-two-shoe people know that this is the United States of America. We are a Godly nation founded on Godly principals, not by some flyby the seat of their pants religion. I grow weary of constantly being told that believing in God, and His Holy Word is wrong.”
“Mike! Mike! Calm down. You have my support, and I agree with everything we have discussed. Yes, the prophets and disciples of old were more outgoing then they are today. Go ahead and publish your book, because for centuries everybody, and their brothers, have tried to stop the preaching of the Holy Word of God and failed. It is written and we both know what the Bible says in Matthew 24:35, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.’ Mike, that says it all so go ahead and publish your book. God will bless you for standing up for what is right.”
“Jess, thanks for you advice and yes! I will publish this, because it needs to be said. What can man do to me? True they can kill my body, but they can’t kill my spirit which belongs to Christ.”

the use of only dialogue meant you had to keep repeating the names of the speakers, perhaps adding some description of the tow characters and using said, replied commented etc would break up the dialogue and make it more realistic....
just some suggestions...
others may disagree of course
It is also a way to develop your characters, so the reader can relate to them more.
Well done! Keep it up.
