The days arrive with golden-edged sunrises
And wind down with sunsets that
Are oft times great balls of rosy glowing fire.
For we live in a world of many colored hues
Although there are only four seasons –
Each once has its on vibrancy
and multicolored cues that all come forth in
timely progression.
For we live in a world of many colored hues
Springtime is the budding season –
All of nature is alive with the greens of the grasses,
tree buds and preying mantises alike
The cherry, apple blossoms and azaleas are blooming
Cascades of pink profusion.
Sun bright yellows, scarlet reds and deep violet purples
Create a symphony of colors and shapes
From the smallest of crocuses, to the nodding headed daffodils
and the many and various rainbow tinted tulips and irises
pushing their way through the warming brown earth
to the invigorating sun up in the blue sky above.
For we live in a world of many colored hues
Summer is the golden season.
The sun is ever-present in the turquoise skies above.
The Roses unfurl their petals as though to reveal
hidden jewels in shades of crimson, gold, apricot,
ivory and cerise.
Backyard gardens and farms alike overflow
With a cornucopia of living colors –
Sweet ruby red strawberries, raspberries and
indigo blueberries.
Corn, squash and sunflowers reflecting back
the glory of the summer sun.
Melons in shades of alabaster green, golden orange
and salmon pinks.
But very little is able to match the splendor
or beauty of an overarching rainbow
after a summer’s rainstorm.
For we live in a world of many colored hues.
Autumn is the season of fiery reds, burnt orange
and glowing yellow leaves all set to showcase their
riotous rainbows of the season as a
Last hurrah before the wintery frost sets in.
The harvest moon travels the midnight skies.
Golden colored, cornstalks, ebony cats and carrot-toned
Pumpkins are everywhere in abundance.
For we live in a world of many colored hues.
Winter is the season of stark contrasts –
The gleaming white of a freshly fallen snowstorm.
Evergreens in shades of pine green and teal blues.
The cheerful fire-engine red of a low flying cardinal
or flame-pointed poinsettia.
All under the golden starlight of a midnight sky.
