I pray daily that you can
Others here on earth
Just might not understand
I’m no longer who I was, Lord
No more a slave to sin
For now you are my Father
I’ve secured the greatest win
As I travel down this road, Lord
I am asking for your help
It’s been a little difficult
Given the hand that we’ve been dealt
Sarah continues to fight, Lord
And my job has slipped away
Still we come to know you daily
And believe we’ll be okay
We need to set an example, Lord
Our children deserve to know
That no matter what happens in this life
Into our Father’s arms we’ll go
I hope we’ll make you proud, Lord
Others say they’ve been inspired
But where we stand from day to day
We are simply very tired
I’m as steadfast as I can be, Lord
And I hope you’ll understand
I need some extra love now
And your ever guiding hand
Our eyes are fixed on you, Lord
We’re down on bended knee
You’ll bring us through the fire
As the world will surely see
