raised in glory
tears by night bring
joy come morning
planting weeping
faithful seeds
patient farmers
bruised reeds
never breaking
ever watching
always waiting
for the early
and latter rains
with intercessors
labor pains
kneeling between
the porch and the altar
crying “spare Thy people Lord”
servant shepherds lost ones seeking
the joy of salvation a blessed reward
on the walls the watchmen standing
watching out for enemy swords
trumpets sounding war resounding
fought with tears on bended knee
fight the fight, finish the course
till with the shout of victory
rejoicing songs resounding
the spirits of the righteous
made perfect through their suffering
a cloud of witnesses surrounding
descending with their mighty King
"Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine
until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." Mt 14.25

I liked the first part especially, with its short, choppy lines. Very appealing.
Very well done.
