Topic: In and Out (04/30/09)
But then there are no ordinary days since The Messiah has came, preaching “The Kingdom of God is at hand.” There are crowds everywhere He goes. There are His twelve disciples, at least seventy others who follow Him religiously, and some women, who minister to Him out of their substance. And of course those Pharisees and other religious leaders who show up, not to hear Him, or believe on Him, but to catch something from Him that they might have to accuse Him. But it’s the throngs who came to hear this Man Who speaks as never anyone has ever spoken before. The broken hearted, the sick and the demon possessed. Leopards, cripples, blind, deaf and manned hoping that He will some how heal them.
Today is proving to be no different, the house is packed as usual, standing room only, and a large crowd outside, wishing they could somehow get in. He’s preaching the Word unto them, and I’ll bet as always the Power of the Lord is present to heal them.
Wait; what’s this, four men bringing a man, who appears to be sick of the palsy, on a bed. NO WAY they’ll get in, not a prayer, good luck on this one. After seeing their plight, looks like they’re taking him up on the roof. I guess they’re planning to uncover the roof. Not a chance. Will I’ll be, now I’ve seen everything. That’s just what they are doing, braking up the roof. I’d hate to be underneath there. Now they are letting him down through the hole. Now that’s love in action! How can this Man, who seems to know everything, not help but see their faith.
What? What did He just say unto the sick of the palsy? “Son thy sins are forgiven thee.”
I’ll bet I know what the Scribes are thinking. “Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?"
I’ve heard this Jesus can even read our thoughts. Will I guess so, He just ask them “Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Which is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins are forgiven thee, or to say take up thy bed and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (I said to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house."
And look immediately he’s taken up his bed, and is walking forth before them all; insomuch that they all seem to be amazed, and are glorifying God, saying:, "We never saw it on this fashion.”
If only I could be there. What a great headline this would make for my newspaper “In One Way And Out The Other” In through a whole in the roof a paralytic laying on a bed, and in need of forgiveness and now walking out the front door completely healed carrying that bed, his sins totally forgiven. What a testimony he now has!!!!!!!

Good Biblical story of faith. Did you mean lepers (instead of leopards)? Good job.
