Perhaps there is wisdom inherent for life in this universal game. Living life is definitely a mystery of sorts. Let’s face it; people need to know what to do when they don’t know what to do. Children have a distinct advantage over adults in this area. They are more trusting and quick to seek help. Jesus said it like this: "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth; anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
Within everyone, personally connected to Christ, resides a GPS: God’s Positioning System. God’s kingdom, His government, His rule is readily available to us. God is within us whispering, “You’re hot,” when we are spot on in our directions. At other times, He’s whispering, “You’re cold” when we are way off track. But the question we must ask ourselves is “Am I willing to be ‘it’ and play?” Are we willing to blindly follow the Lord’s directions of hot and cold?
Today, Jesus speaks bluntly to those who believe in Him saying, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.” Hot and cold are two distinct states. It’s much better to be one or the other rather than warm. For in life’s journey, you may find yourself asleep for most of it, or worse, stuck in the middle and going around in circles.
