And the tree
Is bare
As it looms
In the winter air --
There it stands
With dignity
And grace
Looking forward
To the presentation
Of spring's face...
Spring beams
Across the horizon
When winter's
Ebbing finally does come
And buds present
Themselves
Beneath the youthful
Sun...
Summer sparkles
With the rays
Of sunlight
Across the given day
As the tree
Umbrellas
All who embrace
Its warm caress
And man
Remembers once
Again
How he has been
Truly blessed...
Fall time
Comes with wrinkled
Leaves
After brilliant colors
Have stirred the soul
As a reminder
That the year
Has passed
For everyone
From the newborn
To the very old...
The tree views
All the seasons
As life is viewed
By man
For there
Is the cold
The warmth
The edge of coolness
And the searing
Heat of day
Revealed to the tree
And to man
In God's perfect time
Without delay...
The roots of the tree
As the soul of man
Hold closely
To the source
For each
Has come
To understand
That God
Is the eternal force --
The one
Who provides
Nourishment
And purpose
For the tree
And man --
He is the provider
Of ocean blue
Painted skies
And seasoned
Earthly land...
