When the darkness of temptation is all around.
Put on the armor of the power of His strength,
And you will stand solid on the ground!
For we are. . . .

In the battles that we fight.

In the power of His might.
When we wrestle against the evilness in the world.
When doubt and sin tempts us to do what's wrong.
Put on the covering of the gospel of His grace.
And you will stand firm and strong!

When evil thoughts and desires come upon us.
When satan’s fiery darts begin to fall.
Put on the shield of our faith in the Lord,

When the wicked one roams up and down in higher places.
When the spirit of darkness begins his evil attack.
